Pohjola is a mythical, harsh country located beyond the northern horizon in the legends of the Finno-Ugric peoples. The story takes place at the end of the Ice Age. As a result of the melting of ice, new territories suitable for life open up. Herds of wild animals rush there, followed by people for whom hunting is the main way of obtaining food. The Maakiwak tribe decides to send their three sons - three brothers - to explore new lands suitable for resettlement. Trying to follow the herd of mammoths, which, scaring away predators and all evil spirits, is a natural protection for people, the brothers reach almost to the very “end of the earth”...
