Today in the Russian Federation there are practically no legal mechanisms for changing power. The rights and freedoms of citizens are severely limited, and the effect of the Constitution is actually abolished by anti-extremist legislation and various internal departmental orders and instructions. Therefore, today any political and social activity of citizens of non-systemic opposition can be called “extremism”. And we have no other opposition. The processes taking place within the party in power and its departments represented by Duma factions are not opposition, but discussions within a single whole. Therefore, it is necessary to understand that the interests of society and the work of anti-extremist units often differ.
