One day, evolution made another leap and gave birth to people capable of controlling the fundamental forces of the universe. These people were popularly called sorcerers, they were disliked and feared, and the church and those in power saw them as a threat to their well-being. But the sorcerers also had more formidable enemies, who called themselves Guardians. They believed that no one should have such enormous power, and they set out to eradicate magic among people.
