This deep and multifaceted book is an amazing synthesis of literary text with popular science literature , a fusion of the emotional with the reasonable, the serious with the funny. This book is for everyone: owners, trainers, breeders, animal psychologists - all those who live and work with dogs, for those who would like to look at the world through their eyes. Armed with the results of many scientific studies, the author shows that such different biological species, how humans and dogs actually have much more in common than they are different. We are united by biology, the structure and function of the brain and, as a result, the emotions that permeate our entire lives: fear, anger, sadness, happiness, joy and love. Dogs are not only capable of experiencing emotions, but they also express them in much the same way as humans. By learning to “read” expressions of emotions, we will be able to at least partially answer the question that interests every owner: what is going on in the head of our best friend? This knowledge can transform the relationship between a person and a dog, give the key to understanding our pets, help in training and solving behavioral problems. The book “Emotions of People and Dogs” introduces current and sometimes polar points of view on the mental abilities of not only dogs, but animals in general, and brings poignant clarity to our understanding of ourselves, dogs, and our relationship with the animal world.
