This Ignatiev is a strange town. Or rather, its inhabitants: they don’t look you in the eyes, they move as if lifeless, they speak in a muffled voice, and at night there is deathly silence in the town. The hard times brought Sergei Korzhukhin and Alex Sitnikov into a kind of wilderness. But it’s not at all easy to get out of here—everything gets in the way. Or someone? There is some kind of mystery here. Sergei and Alex are trying to solve it, but it’s too late: Sergei has to finish off Alex and be left alone with a crowd of strange residents of the town of Ignatiev... The novel was published by the Eksmo-Press publishing house under the very unfortunate title “Black Undead” and with an editorial edit that simplifies language of the work.
