The story “Petrovich and the incident in the restaurant” by Konstantin Pokhelainen, the first in a series of ironic stories about Major “Petrovich” and his “ward” former swindler Valabin, nicknamed “Vollan”, in which they find themselves in various, sometimes absurd situations, to get out of which are helped by the ingenuity of “Petrovich” and the “professional” experience of “Volan”.
