Healthy family relationships are the key to successful gender-role identification of a child. Starting from birth, the process of identification proceeds continuously, with sharpening and actualization of experiences at crisis stages of psychosexual development. One of these stages is the age of the Oedipus complex. Conflicts and distortions of the educational process at this stage never pass without a trace and can be reanimated with renewed vigor already in adolescence.
