The author of the book is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Honored Worker of the Diplomatic Service of Russia. His professional destiny took him a lot around the world: he worked in the tropics and in Europe, and visited hot spots. In particular, during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, he headed our embassy in Belgrade. In these memoirs, however, he does not touch upon foreign policy issues. Almost entirely they are devoted to his hobby from his youth - cooking. They describe many interesting and sometimes downright funny stories related to dishes and drinks from different countries, and also provide sketches from the recent lives of diplomats. All this is presented in a relaxed manner, with a certain amount of humor and self-irony.
