Sergei Barsov was born in Nizhny Novgorod, when this city still bore the name of the proletarian writer Gorky and it seemed that it would always be so. At least at the history department of Gorky University, from which Sergei graduated in the late 70s, few doubted this. Only fantasy brought some variety to the measured life of the province. I wanted to do it professionally, and when “they were given freedom” and the book boom began, Barsov devoted himself to literary activity - he translated Asimov, Bradbury, Farmer, Heinlein and worked as an editor at the Nizhny Novgorod publishing houses Phlox and Parallel. Today Sergei Barsov is a co-owner of the Stellarium publishing house and writes science fiction himself. According to ZD, it turns out just great.
