The story of the famous French writer Pierre MacOrlan (1882–1970) “The Triumphant Beast.” This is what the translator of the story, Dmitry Savosin, writes in the introduction to the publication: ““The Triumphant Beast” - strikingly (and sometimes suspiciously) reminiscent of Orwell’s parable about an uprising of animals on a rural farm - was written a quarter of a century before it, in 1919.” The story can bring to mind both Chapek’s “War with the Newts” and “Heart of a Dog.” Political dystopia.
