The book is dedicated to the combat operations of the German raider Emden in the Indian Ocean during the First World War. The Emden showed rare nobility towards the crews of captured ships and therefore remained in memory as the last knight of the war. The raider sank 19 ships until he was destroyed in a battle off the Cocos Islands. The book is based on German, French and British sources and will be of interest to both specialists and military history buffs.
