The action takes place between the episodes “Victory of the Daleks” and “Time of Angels”. In a busy shopping center, an astronaut in a huge spacesuit appears out of nowhere. Possibly a publicity stunt, the photo shows the body of a dead, well-dressed woman in a red coat lying on the edge of a crater on the dark side of the Moon, with her beloved dog Poochie nearby. This is probably a fake. But, as the Doctor and Amy find out, these minor events are just part of a sinister plan to capture all people on Earth. The conspiracy is centered on a secret military base on the Moon, which is where Amy and the TARDIS are located. The Doctor returns to Earth, and without the TARDIS he can't get to the Moon to save Amy and destroy the aliens. Or maybe? The Doctor discovers the last great secret that can save humanity - Apollo 23.
