The textbook covers traditional topics included in the course of psychological counseling: psychological counseling as a type of psychological assistance, stages of the counseling process, psychological counseling techniques, manipulation, crises, suicide, loss, violence. Nevertheless, the presentation of familiar material has its own distinctive features. The first place is given to the person involved in consulting – the consultant. In the process of discussing classical topics, special attention is paid to the importance of forming his position as a Person and a Professional, the maturity of his worldview, since the success of his work will depend on this.
