The work of the famous Italian writer Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863–1938) has received an ambiguous assessment in the history of Western European literature. He has written works of various genres, among which a special place is occupied by the novel “The Triumph of Death” (1894). This novel is an exciting story about the enthusiastic love and suffering of two young people, whose passionate desire to become one inseparable being encountered an unexpected obstacle.
