One day, dad said that he dreamed of fulfilling his promise to his friends - to tell the truth about the “Roifman case.” I gave him a notebook and a pen and said: “Write! Tell me everything you remember. I give you my word that I will be able to publish your memories.” The time has come. I did not change anything in my dad’s manuscript, but I added some comments (remarks) to the events that took place, an article by Irina Kruglyanskaya from the Izvestia newspaper (No. 28 of February 13, 1993 ) and information from the Internet that may explain how Dad wanted to finish his manuscript.
