The book by journalist Ariadna Rokossovskaya, great-granddaughter of Marshal of the Soviet Union K.K. Rokossovsky, contains interviews with the children and grandchildren of the famous military leaders of the Great Patriotic War G.K. Zhukov, I.S. Konev, A.M. Vasilevsky, R. Y. Malinovsky, I. Kh. Bagramyan, A. I. Eremenko, L. A. Govorov, I. D. Chernyakhovsky, published in different years in Rossiyskaya Gazeta. We have a unique chance to find out what war heroes were like in everyday life, and what they remained in the memories of their family and friends. Many photographs provided by the relatives of the book's characters are being published for the first time. The preface to the book was written by the daughter of Marshal I. S. Konev, Natalia Ivanovna Koneva.
