For the first time in Russian social psychology, modern scientific achievements of American, Western European and Russian social psychology are presented holistically and systematically. The textbook examines the problems of social psychology centered around its subject: socio-psychological characteristics of the individual, small and large groups. The material in the textbook is based on two methodological approaches: evolutionary and cross-cultural. The formation of a person’s sociality, his values and attitudes, interpersonal and business relationships has been studied in detail. The dynamics of small groups is considered from the point of view of group processes, states and effects of group influence on an individual. The study of large social groups is focused on ethnicities, cross-cultural differences and similarities, and crowd psychology. The publication is intended for psychology students, students of special faculties, masters, practical psychologists working in various organizations and industries. The materials in the textbook will be of interest to sociologists, cultural experts, managers, heads of firms and corporations, scientists, journalists, economists and all those whose work is related to human relations.
