November 1991. Market reforms are sweeping away the old foundations. Breaking stereotypes breaks people's destinies and characters. Former investigator for particularly important cases, Alexander Listov, works as a cab driver, but for the sake of temporary income, he undertakes to fulfill a strange order from a private client - to follow a young woman named Svetlana. Listov carries out the task professionally and easily finds out the details of the life of the young beauty and her two close friends. A real detective story with intrigues and murders gradually plays out around Svetlana, but Listov, as it were, picks up the keys to other people’s lives and opens closets with skeletons. However, the outcome of the case turns out to be unexpected even for Listov himself.
