“The Justification of Judas” is one of the new books by Sergei Dobronravov, a modern screenwriter, poet and writer. It is dedicated to the betrayal of Judas - an ancient, but very relevant and popular topic that cannot be changed, but one really wants to interpret it in one’s own way. However, the author of the book claims that he had no desire to justify anyone. He admits that he considers loyalty and betrayal to be the two foundations of human existence, and in Christ and Judas he sees not the God-man and the apostle, but equal incarnations of Thesis and Antithesis. The story is dedicated to the famous Russian writer Leonid Andreev, the author of another popular interpretation of the motives of Judas’ behavior.
