In the spring of 2012, Peter Thiel taught a Startup course at Stanford University. Before the start of the first lecture, Peter told the audience: “If I do my job correctly, this will be the last subject you will have to study.” Here is what Wikipedia says about Peter Andreas Thiel: “American businessman, investor and hedge fund manager. Together with Max Levchin, he founded PayPal and served as its CEO. Currently President of Clarium Capital, a macro-investing hedge fund with approximately $700 million in assets; managing partner at Founders Fund, a $250 million venture capital fund he co-founded with Ken Khoury and Luke Nozek in 2005; co-founder and chairman of the investment committee of Mithril Capital Management. Thiel was Facebook's first outside investor, purchasing 10.2% of its shares for $500,000 in 2004; He is currently on the board of directors of Facebook. In 2011, he was 293rd on the Forbes 400 list with a net worth of $1.5 billion in March 2012. He lives in San Francisco, California.” One of the course participants recorded and posted a transcript of Peter’s lectures. Later, on Habrahabr.ru, one of the users of the service - Arthur Zayats from Tula - and his volunteer assistants posted a translation of the lectures, for which many thanks to them! However, it is not always convenient to read lectures on Habrahabr.ru online. Many people have e-ink readers, and even more people use smartphones for reading. For such users, I have prepared a course of lectures by Peter in doc, fb2 and epub formats. I think that many will find it more convenient to study the course offline. I will be glad to hear your feedback and suggestions in the comments.
