The novel “That Which Wasn’t” by V. Ropshin, written by one of the leaders of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, the organizer of many terrorist acts, Boris Savinkov (1879–1925), is dedicated to the revolutionary events of 1905–1907. The one-volume book includes (section “Appendix”) the memoirs of B. Savinkov’s mother S. A. Savinkova (1855-7) “The Years of Sorrow” and “A hair’s breadth from execution,” as well as an article by G. V. Plekhanov “(1856–1918) “About what is in the novel “What Wasn’t There.”
