And perhaps you are actually a clone! This is what happened with Elishe. This name was given to her by the nonhumans around her. Attempts to remember anything about herself yield nothing, the girl has to come to terms with the situation and hide in the hope that the memory will return later and everything will work out. Taking advantage of the opportunity, she escapes from the slave trader in the company of the same slave.
