The main character of the novel is heavily on pills. He sells “emotions” and holds not the last position in a large company. He has a beautiful wife, whom he sees only in his dreams. He has mistresses with whom he fulfills his perverted fantasies. He is surrounded by people incredibly similar to himself. He seems happy to live such a life... But something inside the hero begins to change, revealing the true reasons for his addiction to pills - his personal panacea. Chance encounters and hints are just the beginning of a journey that he is destined to embark on, leaving behind a crippled past and the corpses of those he once loved.
