The tough, piercingly sincere novel “BASAD” declares truths and moral values that are now unfashionable and raises the current topic of imitation of science.

The main character is an aspiring writer, having ended up in graduate school, plunges into the satirical and absurd atmosphere of a modern university laboratory and comes into conflict with the establishment.

The academic hierarchy appears as a giant, rusty mechanism, the gears of which grind themselves and everything that gets in their way. First of all, people who decided to devote their lives to science rather than commerce. The author sarcastically describes the everyday life of young scientists, their mental turmoil and the clash of high aspirations with harsh reality. They are forced to either adapt or fight a totalitarian system that changes the rules of the game on the fly. Their rebellion is obviously doomed. However, this battle is only a shadow of the eternal Armageddon, in which good cannot help but win.
