Georgy Ball was born in 1927. Graduated from MGIMO in 1948. Regularly published as a children's writer since 1960. For a long time I did not have the opportunity to publish “adult” prose, so I gave readings at the apartments of friends. Then he occasionally published “adult” texts (“New World”, as well as in “tamizdat”). Since the mid-90s. published a lot in the magazines “New World”, “Znamya”, “Friendship of Peoples”, “New Literary Review”, etc. Selected publications: the novel “Pain Points” (Moscow, 1983), a collection of stories from different years “Up Behind the Silence” (M., 1999). Laureate of the Turgenev Short Prose Festival (1998) in the section “For contribution to the development of the genre.” Georgy Ball's texts have been translated into German and Czech.
