The book by the famous art critic Erast Kuznetsov is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Georgian artist Nikolai Aslanovich Pirosmanashvili (1862–1918), better known as Niko Pirosmani. The author, exploring all available sources, consistently creates a documentary biography, although in the biography of an artist it is not always easy to separate facts from established stereotypes and legends.
