Following the myth, the famous traveler Tim Severin repeated on exact copies of ancient ships the routes of mythical and semi-mythical pioneers - St. Brendan, Jason, Odysseus, Sinbad and others, named and unnamed. Severin himself calls his method of confirming myths “detective” (investigation of legends and tales) or “experimental philology.”
