Anatoly Azolsky keeps the reader in suspense, as the hero of his new novel is a Wehrmacht colonel and the events of World War II in July 1944. A colonel with the Russian surname Rostov and the part “von” becomes aware that an assassination attempt is being prepared on the Fuhrer. He himself does not like Hitler, but he is against the assassination attempt and does not know what to do, who is behind it.
