The Jester is the most beautiful puppet in the theater. The jester is Grishka because he is not like the others. And Lyolik, a brilliant master who creates unique, “living” dolls, is also a Jester. But the main Jester is Sam - the best theater actor, who, because of his “gay orientation,” lives like on a powder keg. Grishka and the daring Sashok - “theater children” - adore him from an early age. But you cannot hide from intolerance and injustice behind the theater curtain, and Sam moves to tolerant Holland, Lyolik is sent to retire, and the beautiful Jester is sold to a private collection... What remains is friendship and loyalty , life and questions that Grishka will have to answer before he understands who he really is: what is more important - to be “normal” or to be himself? Is it worth trying to live up to something “right”? And who has the right to decide for us what is “right”?
