We offer the reader fragments of a book about the Dutch, the authors of which are Englishman Colin White and American Laurie Bauke - who lived in Holland for many years and wrote a cheerful, mocking and insightful book about it, which contains what is known in advance about the Dutch, such as their love of flowers , bicycles and windmills, often appears in a new light, and at the same time a lot of new things are revealed, sometimes very funny and unexpected. Perhaps, the result is not so much a guide to Holland as reflections on the Dutch. The book has already gone through three editions. Local residents also read it and shrug their shoulders: “It’s all true!”
