The novel “Why Brazil?” - the first acquaintance of the Russian reader with Christine Ango. Social life, the torment of creativity, women's hysterics, everyday problems are fused into the magma of the internal monologue - or excited story - of a forty-year-old woman trying to find at least a precarious balance in the world. Based on Ango's novel, Laetitia Masson made the film Why (Not) Brazil in 2004, which became one of the main events of the European film season.
