“Micropolis” is the fourth play in Evgeny Vodolazkin’s collection “Sister of Four.” “The play “Micropolis” is distinguished by a noticeable ancient Greek accent. In a small city, as the name suggests, elections of the city mayor are about to take place - an event known to ancient democracies. This theme is strangely intertwined in the play with the theme of shared construction. And, although it was less known to Antiquity, the rhythm of the action is set here by the Chorus of deceived shareholders. The main driving force, as at all times without exception, is love.”
