In Back to Earth, astronaut Nicole Stott shares valuable insights into the challenges of survival and crisis response—and each of us can use her experiences to make a difference. She knows we can overcome differences to solve global problems like climate change because she witnessed that approach every day aboard the International Space Station. Stott talks about situations she's encountered on spaceflight and shares insights from scientists, activists, and everyone working to solve some of the greatest environmental challenges we face. She learned about the complexities of Earth's biodiversity from NASA engineers working to create life in space and from scientists protecting life on Earth for future generations. Ultimately, Stott shows how each of us is capable of showing respect for our home and each other - but this is only possible if we consider ourselves not just passengers, but members of the same crew, carrying out a common, complex mission.
