Mid twenty-first century. The world does not stand still, technological progress rushes forward with huge strides. More and more energy is required and people are developing and then creating more powerful sources for it. And it doesn’t matter what underlies the process: water or air, the splitting of atoms or thermonuclear fusion; disasters always happen, and in some cases their consequences are terrible. There were people who still remembered that first most terrible and dangerous man-made disaster of the late twentieth century - the destruction of the reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Alas, at that time they were still children and could not imagine the horror of what happened. Perhaps their relatives participated in the liquidation of that disaster or were investigating the incident, but if this was the case, then they had long since died. The result of that disaster: the formation of an isolated zone with a total area of about two thousand eight hundred square kilometers, living within which is prohibited. In two thousand fourteen, a second similar disaster occurred in the United States of America, the state of Arizona, the secret city of Vark 3, which is one hundred and fifty miles northeast of Phoenix. Official reason: 'Violation of safety regulations, fire instructions and problems with the uranium rod cooling system.' The result: an area with a radius of forty miles formed the second isolated zone on the planet. About ten thousand people died. But thanks to the desert area for many miles around the city and the calm weather that prevailed there at that time, more casualties and the area of infection were avoided. Two thousand and twenty-one is the third man-made disaster. This time, the explosion and complete destruction of a thermonuclear power plant located in Yakutia, namely in one of the most secret cities at that time - Siberia 13, which is located four hundred kilometers southwest of the Chekanovsky ridge running along the western part of the Lena River delta, in the area the source of the Bur River. Official cause of the disaster: 'Unknown'. Unofficial: 'Fusion experiment failed'. Result: the formation of a third isolated zone with an area of three thousand kilometers. The number of deaths is unknown, the number of irradiated people is unknown, the nearest cities, located several hundred kilometers away, were not damaged. The general brief summary of all these disasters: “Irregular and uncontrollable mutations of animals and plants in the territory of all three isolated zones, the formation of unnatural physical and natural anomalies.” ..
