This book is dedicated to one, at first glance completely crazy, idea that the legendary biblical Sambation, behind which the lost tribes of ancient Israel disappeared, may be the small Manych River in the south of Russia (Rostov region, Stavropol Territory, Kalmykia, Dagestan). As best I could, I tried to tell the story of “how I came to live like this,” about my trips in the footsteps of the disappeared tribes to Turkey, Armenia, Dagestan, Adygea and about the ghostly trace of some great secret taken with them by the Israeli exiles.
