During excavations of the famous Globe Theater in London, archaeologists find a human body preserved in clay. Trying to find out his identity and the circumstances of his death, the heroes of the story discover a terrible secret connected with the life of the great playwright William Shakespeare. The story was first published in 1990 in the anthology “Lovecraft's Legacy”. In 1995, it was also included in Masterton’s collection “Flights of Fear.”
