The novel was written as part of a series of books about romantics and scoundrels of the Chernobyl Zone, but due to the fact that new authors are not considered for the editors, it is published as fan fiction. Radek Šmicer (Red) is a wandering stalker who constantly throws out quotes from scripture. Some inhabitants of the Zone think that he is crazy, others closely monitor where he appears and what he does. During the thirteen years that Red spent in the Zone, he became a true legend. During this time, it is impossible not to make a lot of enemies, and on the most ordinary day a real hunt opens up for him. Red has to find out the reason why, it seems, the whole world is interested in his modest person. The novel is a mixture of action and drama with several intricate plot lines. It will be of interest to long-time fans of both the game and book series, and a fairly detailed description of the fantasy world will allow even readers unfamiliar with the world of stalker to feel its atmosphere.
