This book is based on the experience of conducting a seminar on the study of the works of Sigmund Freud, organized by Jean-Michel Kinaudo in 1998 as part of the training of specialists at the Psychoanalytic Center. Raymond de Saussure (Geneva). Each chapter of the book is devoted to a separate work of Freud, and the chronological principle of presentation allows the reader to imagine the thought process of the founder of psychoanalysis, and the systematic presentation of the material forms a holistic impression of the work being studied. In addition to discussing the work itself, brief information is given about the socio-historical conditions of its writing, the time-relevant facts of the life of Freud himself, significant figures for psychoanalysis and the most famous patients are outlined, the basic concepts introduced by Freud in this work are highlighted, and the fate of these concepts in a chronological perspective and in the works of post-Freudians. A special place in the book is devoted to the presentation of the principles of active study of Freud's work.
