(including for Apple and Android)
This book is a journalistic investigation by Hannes Rostam (1955–2012), dedicated to the first Swedish “serial killer” Thomas Quick. Thomas Quick is the pseudonym of Sture Bergval (b. 1950). He took it after committing a robbery, when newspapers started writing about him. His “record” includes more than twenty confessions of murder and eight court convictions. In an interview with Hannes Rostam, he states that he did not actually kill anyone, and the journalist begins an investigation. The emerging facts change the understanding of the work of the judicial and medical systems of Sweden: we are talking about one of the largest scandals in the history of the country. Based on the investigation materials, Rostam first made a two-part documentary film, which received the prestigious Swedish Golden Shovel award (2009), and then wrote a book, which you are holding in your hands. These events later formed the basis of the feature film “The Ideal Patient” (2019).
