The history of the Third Reich is one of the most terrible pages in the history of mankind. Just twelve years, from 1933 to 1945, and whole decades of horror, bewilderment, crippled destinies, the desire to comprehend the essence of the “plague of the 20th century”, called German Nazism, and understand the reasons for the emergence of fascism. The “Encyclopedia of the Third Reich” offered to the reader is another attempt to bring together thousands of names, biographies, facts and events, thus creating a fairly complete and comprehensive picture of the life of the German people in the tragic era of the Third Reich. The new edition of the Encyclopedia differs significantly from many previous ones in the verification of historical facts and dates, thoroughness of information and a large number of materials published for the first time. The original text was supplied with black and white and color photographs, but unfortunately they are not here.
