The war diaries of the famous Soviet journalist Lazar Konstantinovich Brontman, who worked for more than 25 years in the country's main newspaper, Pravda, are published for the first time. From 1942 until the end of the war, Brontman was almost continuously at the front. His travels cover the entire theater of war. The author's diary is a unique historical evidence containing many unknown facts about the war, touches on the portraits of commanders and statesmen, details of military life of that time, as well as the everyday life of a war correspondent.
