Vance's mother, a world-famous opera singer, is offered to live and prepare for performances in a luxurious country estate called the Fox's Lair. Vance's mother agrees, believing that country life will benefit her son, who always gets into trouble. Vance, who learned some time ago that often our wishes come true can be truly dangerous, is not very happy about living in the wilderness. But, having arrived at the Fox's Lair, he meets there a friend named Pebble, whom he considered missing. The girl tells Vance that nearby there is an old well, at the bottom of which lives perhaps the most ancient creature in the world - a huge desire eater. He can be very dangerous if woken up. Vance and Pebble will have to do everything possible to prevent the attackers from reaching the one who sleeps at the bottom of the well. But who knows? What if Pebbles is not at all who she says she is?
