Valery Osipov wrote many books, plays and film scripts on modern topics. At one time, his story “The Unsent Letter” was very popular, which was based on the film of the same name, which was shown on the screens of our country and abroad. Another story, “The Story in Telegrams,” was dramatized and did not leave the stage for many years. In the “Fiery Revolutionaries” series, in 1971, Valery Osipov published a story about V.I. Lenin’s elder brother Alexander Ulyanov, which was received with interest by readers and the press and was published in a second edition in 1978. The story “Snowdrop” is the first attempt in our literature artistic interpretation of the personality of G. V. Plekhanov, an outstanding propagandist of Marxist ideas in Russia, leader of the “Emancipation of Labor” group, a fighter for the scientific materialist worldview, who played a significant role in the spiritual awakening of Russia.
