Reverend Paisius wanted to publish a book useful to everyone: laity, monks and clergy, but he did not have time, devoting all his time and energy to prayer and communication with people who came to him. After the saint’s repose, his letters, recordings of teachings and conversations were systematized for ease of use in everyday life, for the elder himself said: “The task is for you to work and apply what you hear in practice.” In order to help us get rid of the passions that torment us, St. Paisius shows that they all stem from pride and pride, and calls us to become renewed people of the New Testament, filled with spiritual nobility, humility and love.
