The book, using the example of the wolf as a model predator species, describes the problems and method of preparing for the reintroduction of large predatory mammals raised in captivity. The necessary conditions for keeping animals in the process of postnatal ontogenesis are shown for the formation of behavior, including the ability to rational activity, within the normal limits characteristic of the species. The book is intended for a wide range of specialists interested in issues of the ontogenesis of behavior, higher nervous activity, ecology and problems of restoring those that disappeared in nature, or endangered species of large land mammals.
