Illusionist Eisenheim

This is an amateur translation of the famous story by Stephen Millhauser; unfortunately, very few works of the American writer have been translated by publishing houses. The story does not look like a film adaptation. There is less historical overtones and connections between people. The story reveals some of Eisenheim's secrets, which is superior to the film. The story is written in the manner of a historical reference about a famous illusionist, who for no reason wanted to be sent to prison. His last performance will be truly enchanting, although he has done similar things before, posing as another magician. A Dickensian mysterious story that should be on the shelves along with a lot of other talented Millhauser stories.
