Історія сповнена напруження, адже батько Олени, який категорично проти їхніх стосунків, стає справжнім антагоністом. Читач відчуває всі труднощі, з якими стикаються герої, і переживає разом з ними кожен момент радості та смутку. Мова автора проста, але водночас виразна, що дозволяє легко зануритися в сюжет.
