The “Masters of Painting” series is one of the significant projects of the “White City” publishing house. This popular series of superbly illustrated albums (the total number of titles has already exceeded two hundred copies) is dedicated to the work of prominent artists, different styles and movements of fine art. The proposed series is unique for Russia, primarily for its scale and the highest quality of numerous large-format illustrations (the books are printed in Italy). The album introduces readers to the work of an outstanding landscape painter of the second half of the 19th century. Isaac Ilyich Levitan (1860-1900), which the author considers among other important phenomena of Russian culture.
