The compiler of the dictionary is W. Elwell, professor of theology at Wheaton College, one of the best Christian universities in the USA. The dictionary includes 1200 entries and contains not only theological, but also historical, biographical, and other useful background information. The dictionary is written in accessible language. It is interesting to specialists and understandable to non-professionals. About two hundred people took part in its preparation, whose views may not have coincided in everything, and this only confirms that there is a lot of disagreement in the modern Christian community. However, none of the fundamental values of the Christian faith are questioned.
