Socialism is “out of fashion” now. The logic (what is presented as it) is approximately this: there was socialism in the USSR, but the state collapsed, which means that socialism is not viable. The most educated remember National Socialism in the Reich and rejoice: they also lost! However, at the same time, they carefully do not remember the growing power of China (or they try to say that there is no socialism there). And if we talk about the past, it is also bashfully silent that the Reich defeated de facto all of Europe, waged war even in Africa - and was defeated only by the Soviet Union, another socialist state. After which the USSR for almost half a century opposed the entire “civilized world” and now the Russian Federation lives off the “backlog” of Soviet power...So why is socialism being carefully “taken out of discourse”? What is socialism really?
